Tony Copeland joins Lifeline board of directors

Tony Copeland has joined the board of directors for Lifeline Recovery Center, a residential treatment program for substance abuse.
Copeland is senior maintenance and stores supervisor/planner at Arkema Inc. in Calvert City, where he has served 27 years. A Paducah resident, he serves on the administrative and foundation boards of Baptist Health Paducah. He also serves on boards of several other organizations, including Independence Bank Paducah Area, Community Scholarship Program, Rolling Hills Country Club and the McCracken County Community Career Endowment Inc. Copeland recently completed eight years as a member of the board of directors for the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., where he serves as the keeper of records and seals. He studied marketing at Western Kentucky University and business at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He is married to Angela, and they have two children.
“Tony brings to our board of community volunteers a wealth of expertise in leadership, creativity and negotiating skills from his professional position and service on many other community-minded boards,” said board chair Steve Powless.
Lifeline Recovery Center is a long-term residential recovery program for those dealing with drug and alcohol addictions, treating about 200 people each year at separate men’s and women’s campuses.
The Lifeline board includes other community volunteers: Dr. Jeffrey Taylor, treasurer; Sonia Osman, secretary; David Bailey; the Rev. Dr. Bernice Belt; Carla Berry, Missy Eckenberg; Terry Haas; Robert L. Hill; Kenny Hunt; Bonnie Schrock; Todd Trimble and Mike Zimmerman; as well as executive director Ashley Miller.
