Lifeline Recovery Center welcomes new leaders

PADUCAH, KY. – Lifeline Recovery Center, a residential treatment program for substance abuse, has a new executive director and four new board members, including the board chair:
Ashley Miller, executive director, is a 2014 graduate of Lifeline, who served as a volunteer before being hired in 2015. She succeeds Terrye Peeler, her mentor who recently retired. Ashley has studied at West Kentucky Community and Technical College and received training at the RX Drug Abuse and Heroin Summit, West Kentucky Mental Health Counseling Association’s “Overview of Addiction: Diagnosis and Treatment,” and the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services “Kentucky Prevention Network.” Ashley's husband, Eric, also works as a director at Lifeline.
Steve Powless, board chair, is chairman and CEO of Computer Services Inc. (CSI), He has been involved with many local and statewide organizations, including Murray State University, WKCTC, Greater Paducah Economic Development Council, Paducah Library, Rotary Club, Kentucky Connect and CEO’s Roundtable Group. He is a past president and director for the Association for Financial Technology (AFT); and a graduate of Leadership Paducah, Leadership Kentucky and Murray State University, where he received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2014. Steve is the former chair of Baptist Health Paducah administrative board, where he currently serves as a director.
Ken Hunt, board member, is owner and president of A&K Construction in Paducah. He is active in several community organizations – past president of Associated General Contractors of western Kentucky, past chairman of Greater Paducah Economic Development Council, past member of the St. Mary School Board and a current member of the FNB board. He and A&K host an annual golf tournament to benefit Sunrise Children’s Ministry, raising more than $500,000 to help abused and neglected children.
Todd Trimble, board member, owns The Golf Complex in Paducah. A Pikeville native, he earned a business degree from Morehead State University in 1988 and served 12 years as the PGA professional at the Country Club of Paducah. He and business partner Barry Kight built the Golf Complex in 2003, now employing five professionals and including a Club Car dealership.
Mike Zimmerman, board member, operates an organizational consulting business. His career has spanned a banking investment firm in New York City, Moore Business Forms in Atlanta for the State of Georgia, A&K Construction Inc. in Paducah and the credit card processing company Payment Plus Inc. with customers in 36 states. He is a finance and economics graduate of James Madison University. Other board members are: Darrell Orazine, co-chair; Shirley Orazine, secretary; Dr. Jeffrey Taylor, treasurer; the Rev. Dr. Bernice Belt; Dr. Jim Eickholz; Robert L. Hill; Keisha Hopkins; and LaVonna Willingham.
