Bonnie Schrock has joined the board of directors for Lifeline Recovery Center, a residential treatment program for substance abuse.
Schrock recently retired as vice president and chief operating officer of Baptist Health Paducah, after a 30-year stint with executive responsibilities for marketing, patient services and human resources. She previously worked as news anchor and medical reporter at WPSD NewsChannel 6 from 1983 to 1992, except in 1986 when she served as physician liaison at Charter Hospital, conducting seminars for work sites on alcohol and chemical dependency.
Schrock has a bachelor of science in journalism/radio-television from Murray State University and an executive MBA in marketing from the University of Phoenix. She has been a board-certified fellow in healthcare management by the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2008.
“Bonnie brings a wealth of executive experience and a passion for improving the health of people in our region,” said board chair Steve Powless. “Lifeline is honored to have her expertise and heart on our board.”
The Lifeline board includes other community volunteers: Dr. Jeffrey Taylor, treasurer; the Rev. Dr. Bernice Belt; Missy Eckenberg; Terry Haas; Robert L. Hill; Kenny Hunt, Sonia Osman, Todd Trimble and Mike Zimmerman; as well as executive director Ashley Miller.
